Overview

The TotalWeb package is made up of a variety of components that must be installed and configured correctly before you can begin working. In many cases you may already have components installed on your system and may elect to use them instead of those provided.

The following products may be installed as stand-alone products from the TotalWeb CD: the InternetSuite, WebImage, Acrobat Reader and QuickTime (For detailed installation procedures please consult the TotalWeb documentation).

Superbase may also be installed as a stand-alone product.

Before you may install WebAuthor Pro and RealAudio from the TotalWeb CD you will require an installed web-browser such as Netscape or the Microsoft Internet Explorer. If you do not have a web-browser installed you may install Quarterdeck Mosaic from the TotalWeb CD.

The Superbase Internet Server requires specific product and directory information during installation. Before the Superbase Internet Server will work, you must have Superbase, a Web server and a Web browser installed.

Finally, before you can install a Web server, you require TCP/IP and an IP address. Web servers look for an IP address during the installation so lets begin there.
