What was New in Superbase 2001

Superbase
2001 – the continuous innovations...
The following components are contained
in Superbase 2001:
Project
Manager 2001
ADK 2001
In the new ADK for Superbase 2001 there will be an additional tool
added to the Project Manager that will be available if the ADK is
installed that will allow the compilation of the programs, forms,
quick reports, etc. but not the database files into the RTS executable
and then the executable can be renamed so that an executable file
can be shipped (it will still require the essential DLLs and whichever
optional DLLs are used by the application).
GenIAL Toolbox 2001
GenIAL Toolbox 2001 will be released shortly after the release
of the basic Superbase 2001 product. The toolbox has been completely
redesigned and now adds tools to the new Project Manager in Superbase
2001.
There is a new cross-reference utility that can output a text file
report of the entire cross-reference of the project including summary
information. Every function call, every procedure call, every DLL
call, where they are declared and what they call as well as what
calls them.
There is also a new code-reformatting utility that does basic syntax
checking and that can efficiently find errors such as END IF without
IF. It reformats the code according to some basic rules, such as
the desired tab width.
The Compact & Protect function now operates using the project
list.
There are other features being added, such as a code-browsing version
of the cross-reference utility and a Find String function that will
search across an entire project looking for the desired string.
Inso Filters 2001
The Inso Filters have been updated and now support a number of
newer formats, including Word 2000 and also do a better job of dealing
with embedded OLE objects in documents. Click
here for a list of the entire set of filters.
Superbase Internet Server Classic
The Superbase Internet Server has been slightly modified to work
together with Apache and to run in Process() so as to better work
with available memory.
Also, the Quarterdeck TotalWeb components are no longer included,
instead of that, a group of free or shareware tools is being included
to give people a quick start into the possibilities available to
them on the Internet. These tools are not supported by us, they
are provided as a service to give our customers a head start in
their web development experience.
